Emperor™ Software
VectorPro® Lite software
Available as an optional extra to Mecmesin's Orbis, Tornado and AFTI digital force and torque testing instruments, VectorPro Lite is an advanced data acquisition and plotting software package.
Simply select the appropriate interface cable for your Mecmesin torque instrument and you are ready to enhance your testing with the power of VectorPro Lite.
Advanced data acquisition and plotting
Live torque values are captured and automatically sent to VectorPro Lite to plot the graph of torque vs time/angle. This helps to visually identify any events during the test which cannot be picked up by just having a peak reading on the instrument display.
To help determine whether your sample has met the necessary criteria, there is a suite of standard calculations with indicators of pass or fail to immediately alert the operator.
A statistical analysis of results per batch of samples is produced and then incorporated, together with the graphs, into a customisable PDF or csv test report for your customer.
Overview
The Advanced Force and Torque Indicator (AFTI) is a high-specification display unit, for use with Mecmesin's 'Smart' force and torque sensors.
Ideal for use in production, quality-control or in research and development, its dual-function keypad makes operation simple. With its rugged housing being machined from lightweight aluminium, the ergonomic AFTI is powered through a mains adaptor (supplied) or standard rechargeable AAA batteries.
Interchangeable 'Smart' sensors are plug and play. Simply connect a force or torque sensor to the AFTI and its calibration data will be automatically recognised without any operator input required.
Measurement
Tension, compression and torque measurement with peak-hold function and full unit conversion of the displayed value.
Operating at an internal sampling rate of 5,000 Hz measurements can be displayed in:
- N.m, mN.m, cN.m, daN.m
- kgf.cm, gf.cm
- lbf.in, lbf.ft, ozf.in
- N, mN, cN, daN, kN
- kgf, gf
- lbf, ozf
Features
Clear 4 ½ digit backlit display featuring an overload warning with trend bar to alert operators. Audible and visual pass/fail indicators clearly signal when displayed readings lie within tolerance.
An onboard memory to store 500 peak readings.
Connectivity
RS232, digimatic and analogue data output are all standard to allow easy data transfer to PCs, printers and dataloggers. Choose from a selection of interface cables to connect to your device.
Force measurement
To get even more from your AFTI display, there's a range of 'Smart' tension and compression loadcells to choose from. Simply unplug your torque sensor and plug-in your force loadcell.

Static torque
A range of 'Smart' sensors for measuring static torque. The housing is fixed in place and the test specimen is rotated against the square drive of the sensors as torque is slowly applied.
Note: If used in handheld applications, static torque sensors should not be rotated too far in one direction. There is a risk of the connecting cable becoming spirally-wound and damaged, so we recommend using a rotary torque transducer instead.
