Spring-Loaded Fold Grip, 2 kN, QC-20 fitting

Fitted with a 45mm wide roller cam having a cross-hatch knurled surface. The roller closes onto a serrated contact face of the grip body.

The specimen is folded around the knurled roller to give maximum contact area. As a load is applied to the specimen the cam self-tightens, spreading the load evenly around the cam and against the serrated body of the grip.

Used for slippy specimens where a serrated surface is necessary to bite into the material and prevent slippage.
