ASTM D5169-98Standard Test Method for Shear Strength (Dynamic Method) of Hook and Loop Touch Fasteners
This test method measures the shear strength of hook and loop touch fasteners using a recording constant rate of extension (CRE) tensile testing machine. This is a means of determining the resistance to separation when forces are applied parallel to the plane of the fastener.
